Customizing the Top MenuThe default Skin for Firefox is now the default skin on the Top Menu. The Top Menu skin is now located at /custom/topmenu.jsp. There are a few options for customizing the Top Menu. You can add the extension that you want the user to be able to click on, like help or about to the Top Menu. However, you can only add one extension. If you want to add more than one extension, you can download a Top Menu skin at the end of this article and install it instead. To add an extension, go to your WSC folder (the default location is the directory of the skin in your home directory), then click on the Extensions folder. Right-click on the extension file and choose properties. In the properties, click on the JavaScript tab. Add your extension to this JavaScript file. There are about a half dozen JavaScript files for you to add your extension to. I will show you the easiest one to use. Using a Top Menu skin Download the Top Menu skin from the bottom of this article, unzip the folder, then place the skin in your skin directory (The default location for the skin is the /custom/topmenu.jsp directory). In the Skin.properties file, change the skin.baseurl to the location of your Top Menu skin. For example, the default location for the skin is /custom/topmenu.jsp. However, I keep the skin in my skin directory (/home/username/skins/). So, I change the skin.baseurl to /skins/ (you should create a directory called skins for your skin files). In the skin.properties file, change the skin.displayName to the name of your skin. In my case, the display name is WebStudio4.0.1 TopMenuSkin. Download the latest version of Firefox and install it. When you launch Firefox, you should see a new skin for the Top Menu. Note: If you get the message that the skin was not found, create a skin manually and place the skin in the /custom/topmenu.jsp directory.
